Transport
 
The Parish is served by local bus companies and the community Soar Valley Bus. Rail for regional and national travel is located very close by been served by East Midlands Parkway and Loughborough train stations. Air travel is supported by East Midlands Airport, with Birmingham. Luton and Manchester airports all within easy reach. The River Soar / Grand Union Canal run through the Parish with many local mooring sites available.

Buses

Trent Bartons' Skylink service runs through the parish on route to Nottingham / Loughborough. It runs frequently Monday - Saturday from morning until early evening. For the latest time tables please consult the Trent Barton Website


The 865 service operated by Littles Travel is a very useful link bus which we are under threat of losing, so please use it if you can; Monday - Saturday at regular intervals it goes through local villages between Clifton Park and Ride (so connecting with the Nottingham tram system) and Normanton on Soar.

The Soar Valley Community Bus, operated by volunteers has been serving villages in the Soar Valley since 1979 and is considered by many to be an indispensable means of local transport. Besides a comprehensive scheduled time tabled 'hail and ride' service the bus also often operates day excursions to local places of interest, and is available to hire for private use. They are always on the look out for new volunteers so if you think you may be able to help this great local asset please get in touch with them.

Trains

The stations at East Midlands Parkway and Loughborough are on the Midlands Main Line and are operated by East Midland Trains, they run local and frequent scheduled services.

East Midlands Parkway train station is located North of Ratcliffe on Soar, just off the A453, at post code NG11 0EE

Loughborough train station is located by the Loughborough Eastern Gateway at post code LE11 1EX

Airports

East Midlands Airport (EMA) is owned and operated by the Manchester Airports Group and is located close to Castle Donington at post code DE74 2SA. The telephone number for all inquiries is 0871 9199000, please see their website  for comprehensive information.

Rushcliffe Voluntary Transport Scheme

This is a service which helps people with no other means of transport for necessary journeys. This may include visits to friends/relatives in hospitals, dentists, chiropodists, opticians, shopping, social clubs etc. There is a charge per mile for most journeys and you must be registered which costs 20.00 per single or 30.00 per couple annually. The scheme is operated by authorised volunteers using their own cars.
